The Security and welfare of journalists, is significant to the development of every nation.
This was made known at the commemoration of the United Nation’s International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, organised by the Nigerian Journalists safety Initiative in Lagos.

Director of the International Press Centre, Lanre Arogundade said there is the need for journalists and the various security operatives to synergise.
The discussants urged media houses to always give priority to stories that pertain to attacks against journalists.
