Louis Vuitton, has been named the Official Supplier and Branded Licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the company unveiling a bespoke trophy trunk designed to transport and showcase football’s most prestigious prize.
According to a statement published on FIFA’s website, the custom-made trunk will form part of the tournament’s music, entertainment and ceremonies programme and will be brought onto the pitch during the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, continuing a tradition that began in 2010.
The trophy trunk will be guided onto the pitch by a Louis Vuitton ambassador and a FIFA Legend ahead of the final match, a moment FIFA described as an iconic part of the tournament’s closing ceremony.
The trunk was created by Louis Vuitton artisans at the brand’s historic workshops in Asnières-sur-Seine near Paris and features the fashion house’s signature monogram canvas, with two front panels decorated with a hand-painted golden “V” symbolising both “victory” and “Vuitton”.

The design also incorporates leather trims known as “lozines”, gold-plated brass corner protectors, a lock and clasps inspired by Louis Vuitton’s traditional designs dating back to the 1860s.
The interior of the trunk is lined with light beige leather and includes a partnership logo between Louis Vuitton and FIFA integrated into the lid.
Commenting on the partnership, FIFA Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai, said Louis Vuitton brings “a unique blend of heritage, craftsmanship and prestige” to the FIFA World Cup.
“The Official Trophy is the most coveted prize in world football and it is only fitting that it is carried in a Louis Vuitton trunk,” Gai said.
“The moment it is brought onto the pitch ahead of the final match will once again be a highlight, connecting tradition with the pinnacle of modern football.”
