LMC raises hope for ailing Emetole

that medically distressed Coach Kekechi Emetole that it will do a quick check to ascertain possible clubs indebtedness to the coach and raise the needed funds to enable him proceed on the proposed surgery.

Chairman of the LMC, Shehu Dikko, in a chat with newsmen said that the attention of the league management body has been drawn to the situation and it will certainly not fold its hands and see the coach suffer after contributing so much to the league and Nigeria football.

Kelechi Emetole who made marks with the defunct Spartans FC of Owerri and proceeded to the Green Eagles as a defender before going into coaching, has been diagnosed with cancer of the throat a condition has made him lost his voice, grounded him and kept him unable to breath except by the aid of a pipe linked to his throat by the neck.

The two options for relief are a surgery in India which may cost about 10,000 USD or submitting to treatment by a yet unnamed professor of medicine in Enugu with his charges but at about N2m.

Unfortunately, Emetole is unable to raise either of the funds and is currently under untold pains. But the League Management Company has assured that he will not be left to languish under the cancerous condition threatening his health.
