Security men have dispersed youths from Ilaje local government area who are protesting in front of the Governor’s office.

Canisters of tear gas were fired to disperse the rampaging protesters.
Scores of youths from the oil producing communities from Ilaje local government area of Ondo state Monday morning staged a protest over the neglect of their communities by successive governments.

Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the aggrieved protesters barricaded the road along governors office, preventing free flow of vehicles. The protesters urged government to ensure that the 40% oil derivation is devoted exclusively for the development of oil producing communities.
The aggrieved youths also prevented workers from gaining entry into their offices.
