The Zamfara state Government said it would continued to strengthen its Collaboration with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in tackling Armed Banditry and kidnapping.
Governor Muhammed Bello Matawalle stated this while receiving the chief of Army of Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Burtai in Gusau.
TVC News Correspondent Ibrahim Bello reports that the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Burutai was represented by Head of Training Major General Lateef Adeosun to identify with troops during the Sallah Celebrations.
Zamfara state Communities have been seriously under attack by armed bandits , Cattle rustlers and kidnappers almost on a daily basis.
It has fallen to troops of the Nigerian Army and the other security agencies, under operation Harbin Kunama and Puff Adder to support the troops deployed to operation Sharan Daji to end all forms of crimes in Zamfara and other neighbouring states.
The Chief of Army Staff appeals to Communities to remain calm and provide the security agencies with useful information.
On his part ,Zamfara state Governor Muhammed Bello Matawalle pledges to do his best in tackling the current insecurity in the state. The Visit of Chief of Army Staff has acted as a motivation to the troops.
Currently, over Three Thousand Officers and Soldiers arr deployed to the state to confront bandits and other Criminals. The Chief of Army Staff also interacted with officer and men at the Headquarters of One Brigade Nigerian Army Gusau.
