The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has won two of the three senatorial seats in Rivers State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared PDP’s Osinachukwu Ideozu, the winner of the Rivers West district.
He got 107,166 votes, beating the All Progressive Congress’ Otelemaba Amachree who got 48,898 votes.

The PDP’s George Sekibo won in Rivers East District, polling 93,098 votes to defeat Andrew Uchendu of the All Progressives Congress who scored 34,193 votes.
Magnus Abe of the APC got 125,938 votes to emerge the winner of the Rivers South East senatorial seat, beating Olaka Nwogu of the PDP who got 25,394 votes.
