The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced plans to collaborate with Radah Media Company in a bid to enhance strategic communication and leverage technology for improved operational efficiency.

This was revealed during a meeting held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

The session featured a high-level delegation from Radah Media Company, led by its founder, Oge Funlola Modie, who visited the PSC to explore areas of mutually beneficial partnership.

According to a statement by the PSC Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Hashimu Argungu, while welcoming the delegation, expressed the Commission’s willingness to work with credible partners toward achieving its constitutional mandate particularly in the areas of police recruitment, promotion, and discipline.

DIG Argungu emphasized that any collaboration that contributes to strengthening the Nigeria Police Force and improving national security is of paramount importance to the Commission.

“We will always be interested in any partnership that will see to the improvement in the operations of the Nigeria Police Force, tangible enough to reduce or eliminate crime and criminality and see to the protection of lives and properties of Nigerians,” he said.

He, however, raised concerns over the Commission’s long-standing struggle with inadequate funding, which he described as a major impediment to its professional efficiency. Argungu underscored the importance of strategic communication in repositioning the PSC and expressed optimism that the partnership with Radah Media would contribute significantly to enhancing the Commission’s public engagement and internal systems.

In her remarks, Oge Funlola Modie outlined the core elements of the proposed collaboration, which would include capacity-building initiatives focused on strategic communication, technology deployment, and digital design. She acknowledged the critical role of the PSC in national security architecture and stressed the need for it to be adequately funded.

“The Commission, with the nature of its constitutional mandate, deserves adequate funding,” she stated, adding that Radah Media would support efforts to advocate for improved budgetary allocation to the PSC.

The proposed partnership aims to modernise the Commission’s communication tools and technological capacity, thereby enhancing transparency, public trust, and institutional performance.
