The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended five suspects with two hundred and fifty thousand litres of adulterated petroleum products.The suspects were arrested on Igbokoda waterways of Ilaje local government area of the state.
They were arrested with two large wooden boats, outboard boat engines and Two pumping machines.

The arrest was carried out in a joint operation with Tantita Security Services and the Nigerian Army
The joint task force set the illegally acquired petroleum products ablaze on the high sea while the suspects and other exhibits are in their custody for prosecution.
The command assured that the joint operation and routine patrol of the waterways will be a continuous exercise to rid the state of economic saboteurs.
