The National Association of Nigerian students has rejected the proposed subsidy removal of the federal government and payment of five thousand naira to 40 million poor Nigerians as transportation grant.
The students body threatened to shut down the country should the federal government fail to suspend its plans.

Addressing journalists at a press conference in Abuja, they described the transportation grant as another window of corruption and excessive spending by the government.
