Suspected terrorists have abducted Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal, the Parish Priest of St. Stephen Parish in Kushe Gugbu, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack occurred early Monday when armed men stormed the community and forcefully took the priest from his residence.

The Archdiocese of Kaduna confirmed the incident in a statement issued by its Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Christian Okewu Emmanuel.

According to the statement, a brother of Rev. Fr. Anthony Yero was killed during the raid, while several other residents were abducted and taken to unknown locations.

The attack comes amid ongoing international concerns over alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria.

While the Nigerian government has repeatedly dismissed claims of a coordinated campaign against Christians, some U.S. lawmakers including former President Donald Trump, have continued to insist that Christians face targeted attacks in the country.
