Heads of security agencies and GMD of NNPCL have arrived the Defence Headquarters for an emergency meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.
The meeting will review the state of the country’s security in the wake of an upsurge in security issues in the country.
Recent suicide IED attacks in Borno State’ Gwoza community put security forces on edge, more than four years after previous attacks.
Attending the meeting are the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap, Controller General of Corrections Haliru Nababa, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, head of Intelligence Agencies and the GMD of NNPCL Mele Kyari.
The security chiefs meeting with the CDS is ongoing at the Defence Headquarters.
Threats by terrorists to attack national assets and critical infrastructure are believed to top the discussions.
