Brexit: Britons in Spain worry about future following resignation of PM May

Britons living in Spain are worried about their future if the UK leaves the European Union as uncertainties increase with the resignation of Prime Minister Theresa May and the Brexit Party wins in this year’s European Parliament elections.

Spain is home to nearly 400,000 Britons who are following the Brexit process closely.

The UK and the EU haven’t reached a deal on Brexit. Without a deal, trade between Britain and the European Union will revert to the World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, impacting European business trade with the UK as customs procedures are reintroduced.

professor at IE Business School, Gayle Allard, says that Brexit will have many negative effects on Britons living in other EU countries, especially on health care.
