The Senate has just confirmed Justice Tanko Muhammad as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
This follows President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter to the national assembly seeking Justice Tanko’s confirmation as the number one judicial officer in the land.
Justice Muhammad has been in acting capacity since January after the suspension of Walter Onnoghen for alleged misconduct.
