Most Motorists in Adamawa abandoned the busy Yola-Jimeta road following reports of a bomb scare. The few that opted for the road ran into heavy traffic that lasted several hours.
Consequently, a combined team of Policemen and Soldiers took over the road.
A shop owner in the area,Bashiru Hassan told our reporter that he saw a bag containing the bomb in front of his shop

But the state Police command Public Relations Officer, Othman Abubakar said that the bag contained waste materials.
Abubakar has urged the Public to alert the police whenever they see any suspicious object.
