Image result for Nigerian Army harps on regular training for combat-readiness of  troopsThe General Officer Commanding, second Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Fidelis Azinta said more training will be organised for soldiers to tackle insurgency and other criminal acts.

He was speaking at the 2019 edition of the Inter Brigade Competition, hosted by the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Akure.

Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that the competition is aimed at promoting professionalism and enhancing combat
efficiency of troops.

The General Officer Commanding of the Division, Major-General Fidelis Azinta said the competition is designed to prepare soldiers physically and
mentally for contemporary security challenges confronting the nation.

With this kind of competition, Major-General Azinta expresses confidence that his men would be exposed to effective ways of tackling insecurity in the North-East.

He said the goal of the competition is to improve leadership traits and organisational ability amomg soldiers.

Trophies were presented to the five army formations that participated in the competition.
