The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has expressed unwavering confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure an easy victory in the 2027 presidential election.

This assurance came during the launch of the “Tinubu 2027” campaign in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), aimed at rallying grassroots support for the president’s re-election bid.

The event, held at the Ojokoro Local Government Playing Ground over the weekend, was marked by a carnival-like atmosphere and strong showings of enthusiasm from community leaders and residents.

Obasa praised Ojokoro LCDA for its leadership in mobilising support and encouraged sustained efforts, especially in encouraging eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ahead of the polls.

Stressing the importance of unity, Obasa called on All Progressives Congress (APC) members and leaders within the council area to maintain peace and present a united front as the election approaches. He urged political officeholders and appointees to actively engage with their communities to build momentum for Tinubu’s campaign.

“The President has made remarkable progress within just two years in office. If we all commit to reaching out to the people and strengthening our support base, I am confident that the 2027 election will be a walkover for President Tinubu and the APC,” Obasa said.

Hon. Emmanuel Olotu, coordinator of the campaign and lawmaker representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II, emphasised that the initiative was critical to reaffirming Ojokoro as a stronghold for Tinubu.

He highlighted the president’s achievements since 2023 and called for collective support to ensure a successful re-election.

“We have put the necessary structures in place to mobilize massive support for Tinubu in 2027,” Olotu said, applauding the president’s efforts to revitalize the economy and improve Nigerians’ quality of life.

Traditional leaders also voiced their backing for the campaign.

Oba Williams Adeshoga, Olorile of Agbado, praised Tinubu’s transformational leadership and pledged that traditional rulers and community heads in Ojokoro would work hand in hand with political leaders to galvanize support.

Community representatives, including Balarabe Musa, head of the Hausa community, and the Eze-Audi of Ndigbo, joined in pledging unwavering support for the president’s re-election bid.

The event attracted notable figures such as Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo, member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency; Ojokoro LCDA Chairman Mrs. Oluyemisi Rosiji; Paramount Ruler HRM Oba Oluwalambe Taiwo; former lawmakers Hon. Ipoola Omisore and Hon. Idris Salako; Barrister Mobolaji Sanusi, former LASAA Managing Director; and ex-Ojokoro LCDA Chairman Hon. Idowu Tijani.

The “Tinubu 2027” launch in Ojokoro reflects growing grassroots enthusiasm and sets the tone for what supporters anticipate will be a decisive election victory for the president.
