Yoruba movie actress, Adebimpe Akintunde, has attributed the growth in the Yoruba movie aspect of the Nollywood to the consistent use of local dialect.
Adebimpe added that the Yoruba movie industry is said to have grown beyond the estimation of its potential, attributing it to the use of the local dialect to pass across its message.

The actress, however, urged those in those who are not well-grounded in the local dialect to improve on their skills so as not to mislead and misinform the general public who see them as role models.
