The All Progressives Congress said Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike is not telling the truth about his Chief Security Officer (CSO’s) withdrawal.
Wike had earlier alleged that the police authorities withdrew his CSO and other security personnel from the state Government House.
The APC National Secretary, Mala Buni said “Again, the PDP and the Rivers State Governor are haunted by their horrible past misdeeds.
“Nigerians recall how Wike, then a PDP Minister used federal institutions to harass, intimidate and threaten the life of perceived political enemies particularly Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who was then governor of Rivers State.
“Under Wike’s watch, political thugs and criminal gangs have continued to kill and maim APC members and innocent citizens in Rivers State.”
The Rivers State police command also told newsmen that they are not aware of any change in the security of the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The APC candidate in the upcoming Rivers South East senatorial district rerun election, Senator Magnus Abe also accused Governor Wike of inciting violence.
