Nigerian veteran table tennis player, Funke Oshonaike has expressed disappointment on the country’s female team walk-over at the Africa senior table tennis championship, which began in Agadir, Morocco on Monday.
Oshonaike is disappointed the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation and Sports Ministry failed to sponsor the women’s team to the tournament.
The Germany-based player made it to Morocco on her own.

According to her, it is shocking to see other African players who are not up to Nigeria’s standard making it to the tourney while the Nigerian ladies are absent.
The sack from the tournament will cost the Nigerian women team participation in the ITTF World Championship in Sweden next year.
It could also affect their world rankings points.
