Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole on Saturday intercepted a suspected male suicide bomber in Madagali, Adamawa.
The army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, said this in a statement in Maiduguri.
He said: “Vigilant troops of Operation Lafiya Dole intercepted and neutralised a male suicide bomber at Madagali, Adamawa State. The suicide bomber was spotted by a vigilant duty sentry attempting to infiltrate troops forward defensive line along Madagali-Limankara road,” he said.

He added that the suspect was gunned down by the vigilant sentry as he failed to stop when halted.
“The accurate shot also detonated the Improvised Explosive Device vest and was blown into pieces,” Usman added.
