The All Progressives Congress, APC says the party is making arrangement to provide additional eighteen million registration cards for the ongoing nationwide Registration and Revalidation exercise of the party.
Member of the National Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party, Abba Ali
disclosed this to newsmen in Sokoto, after monitoring the exercise in Katsina, Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto States.
According him, the decision to provide additional eighteen million registration follows the massive turnout of members of the party and new entrants demanding to be members of the APC.
He said each of the nearly one hundred and eighty thousand polling units in the country, in the eight thousand eight hundred and twelve political wards was given one hundred registration cards for the ongoing two-week exercise and the cards got finished the very day the exercise commences in majority of the polling units.
Mr. Ali who is also head of the North-West Registrar and Revalidation Supervision team said, the exercise was conceived not only to update the register of the largest political party in Africa, the APC, but to allow Nigerians, who deeply in love, respect and cherish the party, to own it, hence make APC more Supreme .
According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari is relentlessly working to take Nigeria to greater heights and that is why Nigerians have been enthusiastically willing to join the APC.
He also stressed that, the ongoing exercise was the beginning of many good things to accrue to Nigerians, including plausibly combating the myriad of security challenges in Nigeria .
He says change takes time to be efficacious, assuring that this exercise will help to bolster good governance in the country.
