Image result for Port Harcourt Mall explosion not a terrorist attack - PolicePolice in Rivers state have said the explosion that occurred at the Port Harcourt Mall, popularly called Spar, is not a terrorist attack.

Spokesman of the command, Nnamdi Omoni, said no life was lost in the incident at the mall which shares perimeter fence with the Government House.

He added that five persons were injured and are currently receiving medical attention at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital.

The spokesman said investigation is ongoing but normal business activities have resumed at the mall.

He dismissed the insinuation that the incident was a terrorist attack, saying that preliminary investigations carried out by the Command revealed that the explosion had no semblance of a terrorist attack.

Omoni said that normal business activities had resumed shortly after the incident, as people went about doing their shopping.

“Investigation has been ordered by the Commissioner of Police with a view to ascertaining the cause of the incident.
