The Oyo state police command has disclosed that it arrested two hundred and seven suspected in Oyo State in the outgoing year, 2023.
The police public relations officer, Oyo state, Adewale Osifeso disclosed this while parading some suspects at the police headquarters Eleyele Ibadan.
As the year 2023 draws to a close, this briefing from the Oyo State Police Command becomes significant as it intends to present a scorecard of its success in curbing criminal activities in the state throughout the year.
While addressing newsmen during a parade of some suspects, the Oyo state police spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso revealed that several stolen vehicles and motorcycles, hundreds of fire arms, amongst other exhibits were recovered from suspects in the year 2023.
And to these suspects, they are likely going to spend the remainder of this year in the custody as some of them were arrested for various crimes such as armed robbery and other crimes.
Earlier the police engaged in the end of the year township patrol to ascertain the level of peace at all parks and garages in the state.
