Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, is presiding over the National Economic Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with some state governors and other top government officials in attendance
The council will focus on several national issues, especially those affecting states.
The meeting is traditionally held on Thursdays, but this month’s meeting was shifted to Tuesday.
The council comprises the 36 state governors, the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, minister of finance, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and other government officials as well as agencies whose duties hinge on the economy.
