Motorists and other road users, who ply the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road in Abia state, will relieved to hear that palliative maintenance work has been flagged off there.
Senator Theodore Orji and Honorable Samuel Onuigbo of the House of Reps assured that a permanent reconstruction, would be pursued in due course.
They highlighted the importance of the road, as the only link between Abia and Akwa Ibom states, stressing that its deplorable condition caused heavy vehicular traffic.
