Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has urged captain Mikel Obi to quit Chelsea when the transfer window opens in January.
Mikel has been completely frozen out of the chelsea team by manager Antonio Conte who rates N’golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas ahead of the Nigerian captain.
Rohr insists Mikel needs playing time at club level to retain a high performance level with the National team.
The Nigerian national team recently climbed up ten places in the FIFA world ranking to number 50. The German tactician is not carried away by the Eagles’ successes but believes more work must be done to sustain the momentum.
