Manchester City have appointed Enzo Maresca as their new head coach on a contract running until June 2029, bringing the Italian back to the Etihad Stadium for a third spell.
The appointment was confirmed on Monday by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X page.
“Enzo Maresca signs in as Manchester City new head coach until June 2029! Deal never in doubt since May and now confirmed,” Romano posted.
Speaking after his appointment, Maresca said he is determined to build a winning team that plays attractive football while embracing the expectations that come with managing the Premier League champions.
“I want us to win, play good football, enjoy the pressure of representing Manchester City,” he said.

“This will be my third spell at Man City. I cannot wait to start coaching.”

The Italian described his return as a special moment, praising the club’s structure and long-term vision.
“Manchester City is a club I know very well and to have the chance to manage this team is a brilliant opportunity for me,” Maresca said.
“City is an incredibly well-run football club. Everything they do is innovative, planned and purposeful.”
