Some secondary school students in Lagos State have invented creative ways of handling every day problems as part of efforts aimed at finding ways to address the nations’ myriad of challenges.

They unveiled their inventions at the SAIL Innovation Lab in Lagos, an initiative of Senator representing Lagos East senatorial district, Senator Tokunbo Abiru.

These are some of the inventions by young Secondary School students.

They are in response to the quest for innovative ways of handling complex problems. The projects demonstrate how much the students have learnt from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) training at the Senator Abiru Innovation Lab in Lagos.

Participants drawn from Secondary schools in Lagos East senatorial District, learnt tech, digital skills which is the currency of the present fourth industrial revolution age.

Parents and guardians appreciated the gesture, urging more investment in ICT to boost national development.

The visionary urged the graduating students to deepen their quest for knowledge by devoting time for studies and research, particularly in STEM education.

Following President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency on food security in Nigeria, it is hoped that innovations like these will not only boost food availability and affordability but job creation, in the agricultural sector.
