A yet to be identified number of persons have been killed by gunmen, weilding dangerous weapons and assaulted rifles.
The unfortunate incident happened near Affor market Nawfia community, in Njikoka council area, along old Awka- Onitsha road.
Details of the incident is sketchy as eyewitness account revealed that the gunmen emerged from nowhere, started firing at unsuspected residents of the community
The online video showed four lifeless bodies with bullets ridden their bodies and residents shouting for help.
Efforts to get the State Police public relations officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga to comment on the incident was unsuccessful as calls were put across to him and text messages, with no response.
