The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro has contributed immensely to the technological development in Nigeria and its ready to take the country to the the next level in fabrications and equipment manufacturing.
TVC News Kazeem Olowe reports that the Rector of the Institution, Olusegun Aluko made this known while speaking about the impacts of the Institution in the last four decades.
Despite numerous challenges confronting the education sector in Nigeria, Polytechnic education still serves as the bedrock of development in the
country.
The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro while speaking about the contributions of the institution to the technological development of the country in the last forty years of establishment, added that the Institution is working towards providing solutions to some of the needs of the society.
He maintained that the Institution has manufactured many equipment and just came up with additional three.
While commenting accreditation and new courses in the Polytechnic education, the Rector noted that the Institution is planning to introduce
Mechatronics and other new courses that will provide skilled manpower for many multinational companies.
On transformational development, the Rector maintained that Tertiary Education Trust fund remains the only source of capital development fund
for the Institution and many other Universities in the country.
