Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole has described the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ize-Iyamu as a pathological liar who is already feeling the heat of defeat.
Oshiomhole’s comment follows Iyamu’s claim that the governors of Lagos and Kaduna states were in Edo to rig election for the APC candidate.
Iyamu had in an interview with our Correspondent in Benin City alleged that both governors were in the state to rig election and urged them to leave before he mobilises his supporters to chase them out of the state.
But in an exclusive interview with TVC NEWS, Oshiomhole said it is unfortunate that Iyamu who claims to be a pastor and seeking to be governor could be misinforming and misleading the people he intends to govern.
His words: “I have said it many times that Ize-Iyamu is not a pastor. How can someone who claims to be a servant of God be telling lies. None of those governors is in Edo. You’re a journalist, you can go round the state to confirm this yourself. Governor Ambode is too busy in Lagos with state assignments to be Edo. Ambode did not register in Edo, so how can he be in the state during election. You can also put a call through to Kaduna to confirm where governor El-Rufai is. None of them is in Edo.
“PDP is already smelling defeat that is why its element are coming up with different falsehoods. We do not need the assistance of any of the said governors to win election in Edo state. Iyamu is mischievous, incompetent and above all, he is a pathological liar who is out to mislead and misinform the people of Edo, Oshiomhole stated”.
However, Oshiomhole commended the peaceful conduct of the poll in his polling unit and hoped that such gesture will replicate itself across other parts of the state.
