President of Niger, Issoufou Mahamadou has been elected as the new Chairman of the ECOWAS Authorities of heads of State and Government.
Issoufou Mahamadou was elected chair at the 55th ordinary session of highest arm of the ECOWAS body in Abuja in an election conducted behind closed doors by member states.
He will hold the reins for One year, the statutory length of office
