The All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State has postponed its senatorial primary election for the Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone due to logistical challenges and delays in the arrival of sensitive election materials.

In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Dr Dogo Victor, the APC said the primary election earlier scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2027, would now hold on a later date to be announced by the party.

According to the statement, the postponement became necessary to ensure a smooth, transparent, credible, and well-coordinated exercise in line with the democratic principles and standards of the party.

The party, however, confirmed that the senatorial primary elections for the Adamawa Northern and Southern Senatorial Zones would proceed as earlier scheduled on Monday.
