The Lagos state government has reiterated its commitment to ensure the welfare of teachers in the state.
Deputy governor, Idiat Adebule who spoke at the 2017 commemoration of the world teachers day in Lagos said the decentralization of schools into districts has enhanced effectiveness and proper monitoring and assessment of teachers in the state.
She noted that teachers perform better in classrooms when they are well motivated and their roles appreciated.
Responding, the NUT chairman, Lagos chapter Raheem Adesegun, expressed the union’s appreciation towards Ambode’s administration for providing an enabling environment for showcasing their best performance.
