Conservative American activist Charlie Kirk was tragically killed in a shooting at Utah Valley University, where he was hosting an event as part of his “American Comeback Tour”.

Kirk was known for his influential role in mobilising young voters in support of President Trump’s campaign.

As seen in the gory video, Kirk was murdered while addressing the public during the tour. His death, which has garnered criticism and condemnation from world leaders, most especially the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Trump took to his official social media handles to condemn the death of Kirk and also posted a four-minute video on his X handle to say his condolence message to the late the family of the 31-year-old cofounder of the activist youth group Turning Point, USA.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.”

“It is long past time for all Americans and the media to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequences of demonising those with whom you disagree, day after day, year after year, in the most hateful and despicable way possible,” Trump said.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote, “Charlie Kirk was murdered for speaking truth and defending freedom. A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilisation. I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place.

“We lost an incredible human being. His boundless pride in America and his valiant belief in free speech will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk”

Canada’s Prime Minister, Mark Carney, wrote, “I am appalled by the murder of Charlie Kirk. There is no justification for political violence, and every act of it threatens democracy.

“My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones.”

Former USA President, Barack Obama wrote on X, “We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy.
“Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”
Britain Prime Minister Keir Starmer wrote on X, “My thoughts this evening are with the loved ones of Charlie Kirk. It is heartbreaking that a young family has been robbed of a father and a husband.
“We must all be free to debate openly and freely without fear – there can be no justification for political violence.”
