At the Argungu Local Government ward primary election, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded an overwhelming victory over his opponent, Osifo Stanley, polling more than 25,000 votes, while the opposition secured no votes.
Governor Nasir Idris also paid a visit to the palace of the Emir of Argungu to seek his support and prayers ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The Emir of Argungu, Muhammad Samaila Mera, assured the governor of the emirate’s total support, stating that President Tinubu has done a lot for the people of the emirate.
The Emir further declared that the Argungu Emirate is “100 percent” behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris ahead of the forthcoming elections.
