Image result for Southwest states launch 'Operation Amotekun" todayThe six Southwest states of Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Lagos will today launch a regional security formation, “Operation Amotekun” to complement existing security agencies in fighting crime and criminality in the region.

Already, dignitaries and residents of the states are awaiting today’s launch of the security formation to tackle the problem of insecurity in the region.

The collaboration, is expected to complement the efforts of the police in the area of combating kidnapping, armed robbery, and herders and farmers clashes.
