The Sokoto state government has been urged to sustain its drive towards developing solid mineral sector in a bid to achieve the economic diversification drive of the Federal Government.
Acting Executive Secretary of the Solid Mineral Development Fund, Hadiza Boni made the call when she paid a courtesy call on the Governor Aminu Tambuwal in Sokoto.
She said Sokoto state is playing a leading role by maintaining close contact with Federal Government agencies in this regard.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal while responding said the state government will continue to encourage in this direction following the determination and dedication of the FG to achieve a diversified economy.
