Seven bandits have surrendered their arms and join the path of peace in Zamfara state.
They have been received by the governor, Bello Matawelle at the government house in Gusau, the state capital.
The governor is elated that the dialogue and reconciliation process initiated by his administration is yielding results.
Governor Matawalle said more bandits have indicated interest to repent from their unholy acts.
He noted that his administration will continue to use kinetic and non kinetic approaches in addressing security challenges that have bedeviled the state for almost a decade.
The repentant bandits have surrendered fourteen AK 47 riffles, magazines and over one thousand rounds of live ammunition.
