Wife of the governor of Lagos state, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has commended the management of Egbin power plant for their support to the development of the health sector in the state.
She was speaking at the Ijede General hospital where she welcomed and presented gifts to the first babies of the year.
Mrs Sanwoolu used the new year celebrations as usual to visit four state owned health facilities.
A baby boy who weighed 2kg was delivered at exactly 12.01 a.m to the family of Mr and Mrs Bukola Agede was the first baby of the year at Ijede General hospital, Ikorodu.
The governor’s wife was indeed impressed both mother and child were healthy. She further pressed home the need for mothers to take steps that will promote healthy life styles while pregnant, during labour and delivery.
For Egbin power Plc, supporting the health facility in their locality is of utmost importance. According to the spokesperson of the power station, Ijede general hospital should be set to get more from them.
The wife of the Lagos state governor applauded the management’s largest power generating station for their continuous support, particularly with the assurance of providing an Ambulance to help ameliorate present challenges bedeviling the hospital.
