Image result for Reps urge Buhari to immortalise slain SoldiersThe House of Representatives has urged President Muhammad Buhari to immortalize the seven soldiers killed by Boko Haram last Friday to appreciate their exemplary sacrifice.

National Assembly Correspondent, Joke Adisa reports that members of the House say even in death, the fallen heroes stand tall.

One minute silence in honour of the gallant officers and men of the Nigerian Army slain by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.

Since November, the fourth, the nation has been torn in grief following a fatal attack on a unit of the Nigerian Army at the forefront of the war against terrorism in the North East region.

These legislators are also mourning the demise of the young men cut down in their prime.

They say even in death, the slain officer and men stand tall.

Abdussamad Dasuki from Sokoto state is particularly pained that the officer who led his men to liberate many captured territories from the insurgents finally succumbed to death.

Dasuki’s colleagues say even in death, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abu-Ali will remain a subject of never-ending inspirational stories for his doggedness in the fight against insurgency.

The lawmakers say immortalising Abu-Ali won’t be out of place as a way of encouraging others who might want to follow his footsteps.

They are now calling for investigation into why the slain Commanding Officer manned the post for more than four years.
