A member of the House of Representatives has accused INEC of breaching sections of the Electoral Act relating to Continuous Voters Registration.
This has prompted the House to mandate its Committee on Electoral Matters to investigate the alleged non-compliance of INEC with the provisions of the law.
In his motion, Representative Benjamin Okolo from Kogi state accused INEC of deliberately neglecting its mandate as stipulated by law.
He and other lawmakers are worried that many Nigerians who turned eighteen after the 2015 Presidential election have not been registered.
