The Sokoto state Nigeria Police command says it’s men have arrested a suspected cattle Rustler and gun runner along the borders of Nigeria and Niger Republic in Illela local government area of Sokoto state.
Parading the suspect, the Command Police Public Relations Officer Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed said, the suspect Garba Umar Bokolori was arrested in possession of an AK 47 riffle with ten live ammunition belonging to a Customs officer who had earlier reported the loss of the Riffle.
This suspected cattle rustler was apprehended by men of the Sokoto State Police command with a missing AK 47 riffle belonging to a Customs officer.
Garba Umar Bokolori has gained a notorious reputation for allegedly terrorising residents living along the borders of Nigeria and Niger Republic in Illela local government area of Sokoto state.
Mohammed also stated that the suspect is said to have amassed wealth from proceeds of his criminal activities.
The suspect admitted to stealing the AK 47 riffle, belonging to the Customs officer but denied engaging in criminal activities, claiming he is a herdsman working to cater for the needs of his family.
Also paraded at the command were suspected drug peddlers and miscreants accused of disturbing the peace of the caliphate.
