The Ekiti State Police Command has clamped down on a group of hoodlums in their criminal hideout at Atikankan, Ado-Ekiti.
According to a statement by the command spokesperson, DSP Abutu Sunday, fifteen suspected drug dealers, armed robbers and cultists were arrested during the operation.
Those arrested include Musa Madaki ’35yrs’, Abdullahi Umar ’25yrs’, Shola Adeyemi ’43yrs’, Hawalu Ali ’45yrs’, Usman Amisu ’30yrs’, Haruna Usman ’20yrs’, Yanusa Abubakar ’25yrs’, Usman Lawali ’20yrs’, Ajayi Opeyemi ’20yrs’, Toheeb Isa ’21yrs’, Ajiboye Michael ’19yrs’, Kayode Yinka ’20yrs’, Taiwo Michael ’20yrs’, Jimoh Zarheal ’19yrs’ and David Henry ’36yrs’.
The team also recovered some items which include:
√ Two(2) locally made single barrel guns
√ Two(2) battle axes
√ Two (2) locally made pistols
√ Some wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp
The statement added that the suspects confessed to be members of armed robbery gang, illicit drug dealers and cultists.
The Command’s PPRO, DSP Abutu Sunday said the suspects shall be arraigned accordingly as soon as investigation is concluded.
