At least one person is said to have died while some others sustained injuries when suspected thugs attacked Sabo Community in Osogbo on Friday morning.

The suspected thugs were said to be having a candlelight in honour of their colleague who died during a carnival when they had earlier clashed with some members of Sabo Community on Thursday evening

The suspected thugs were also alleged to have burnt goods belonging to some members of the Community early this morning.

TVC News Correspondent reports that the incident has led to closure of businesses in the area while youths also set burnfires in different streets in the preventing free movement of people and vehicles.

Special adviser to the Governor on security, Abiodun Ige, and the Commandant of Amotekun in the state, Amitolu Shittu are currently engaging warring parties to resolve the matter.

Though the cause of the incident is still unknown, findings revealed that injured persons have been taking to the hospital

As at the time of filling this report, combined security Operatives have taken over Sabo Community to prevent further breakdown of law and order.

The state Police Public Relations officer, Yemisi Opalola says peace has returned to the community.
