Ondo State is determined to engage farmers on ways to boost food and cash crop production.

The issue was discussed at a meeting between government officials and farmers across the eighteen local government areas of the state.

Addressing the farmers in Akure, the Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on Agriculture and Agribusiness said the meeting is part of efforts towards the development of agriculture.

According to him, the state government needs the collaboration of farmers to ensure that its plans for sufficient food production succeed.
