These initiatives aim to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported fuel, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and provide a more affordable and sustainable energy solution for the country.

Under the Presidential CNG Initiative, NNPC and its partner entered into a strategic partnership to construct 35 CNG Stations across Nigeria.

12 Stations were commissioned in Abuja and Lagos to offer CNG and reach a wide range of users.

Speaking on the advantage of the CNG, Special Special Assistant on Special Duties and Domestic Affairs, Toyin Subair said beyond its effectiveness it also helps in saving cost.

The newly built CNG stations feature advanced technology and have a combined dispensing capacity of over 6 million standard cubic feet of CNG per day, serving approximately 15,000 vehicles daily.
