The Nigeria Media merit award 2019 is underway at the Muson centre in Lagos with winners already announced in some categories.
TVC News has been nominated for the NBC prize for television station of the year.
TVC News’ reporters and news anchors have also been nominated for various categories.
But no winner in various categories
Apart from the awards, the importance of maternal health was emphasized, dignitaries tasked the media to use their platforms to create more awareness on sexual and reproductive health.
Chairman, NMMA panel of assessors, Ralf Akinyele appreciated the number of entries for the awards, which he says were higher than last year,but he was not happy with the quality of the entries which he says lacked depth, focus and news angle
