The North East Development Commission has embarked on drainage evacuation exercise in Maiduguri the Borno state Capital to avert flooding.
Managing Director of the Commission Mohammed Alkali says they are planning on evacuating 1 million meters of drainage system across the north east region.
This move is geared towards averting flooding across the states
