Some members of the Igbo community in Bayelsa have called on the state police command to unmask the killer of one Chioma Okwuadigbo allegedly killed by a stray bullet from a Naval officer.
The death of the thirty-five-year-old food vendor has sparked outrage among her kinsmen who staged a peaceful protest to the Bayelsa Police Command in Yenagoa.
“Solidarity for Chioma Okwadigbo” is the demand as some members of the Igbo community, lawyers and female journalists march through the major road in Ovom area of Yenagoa.
The 35 year-old lady from Abia State is a victim of “Accidental Discharge” from the gun of a security personnel at a night club.
The youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo took the protest to the Headquarters of the Bayelsa Police Command.
Members of the family of the deceased live in the Baybridge area of the capital city.
